Can I use a trade-in to reduce what I finance?

Yes. Trade equity is one of the most effective ways to reduce your financed amount and lower your monthly payment. Woodlands Premium Motorcycles accepts motorcycle trade-ins of any make and model, generally 10 years old and newer, and applies the trade value directly toward your purchase.

To get the most accurate trade evaluation, have the following ready:

  • Year, make, and model
  • Current mileage
  • Title in hand (or current payoff amount if there is an active loan)
  • Any known mechanical issues or modifications

Trade values are based on current market conditions and the condition of the bike. You are never required to purchase from us to receive a trade evaluation.

What protection products can I add to my financing?

Once your financing is structured, our finance team can include protection products in your purchase to help safeguard your investment over time. Available products may include:

  • Extended Service Contracts – Coverage beyond the manufacturer warranty for mechanical and electrical protection
  • GAP Coverage (Guaranteed Asset Protection) – Covers the difference between what you owe and what your motorcycle is worth in the event of a total loss

Riding gear, luggage, a service plan, and other accessories are generally easier to finance at purchase than they are to add on afterward. Can I get pre-approved before I shop?

What is GAP coverage and do I need it?

GAP stands for Guaranteed Asset Protection. If your motorcycle is declared a total loss – through an accident, theft, or other covered event – your insurance typically pays the current market value of the bike. If you owe more on your loan than the bike is worth at that point, you are responsible for the difference. GAP coverage covers that gap so you are not left paying for a motorcycle you no longer have.

GAP coverage is worth considering, especially for new motorcycles in the first few years of ownership when depreciation can be significant. It is not required, but it can provide meaningful financial protection depending on your loan terms and down payment.

Ask our finance team whether GAP coverage makes sense for your specific purchase and how it would affect your monthly payment.

Can I finance a pre-owned motorcycle?

Yes. Financing is available on qualifying pre-owned motorcycles from our inventory. Terms, rates, and lender eligibility for pre-owned units may differ from new motorcycle financing, but many buyers successfully finance a used motorcycle through our dealership.

I was turned down somewhere else – should I still apply?

Yes. Being turned down by one lender does not mean every lender will say no. Different lenders have different criteria, and our finance team works with multiple lending sources to find the best available path for your situation. A denial elsewhere is not necessarily a denial here.

The best step is to apply or call and speak with our finance team directly. We will look at your application honestly and tell you what options exist. If nothing works right now, we’ll tell you that too – and give you an honest sense of what would help your situation improve.

Can I have a co-signer on my motorcycle loan?

Yes. Adding a co-signer with strong credit can improve your chances of approval and may result in better rates or terms depending on the lender. The co-signer’s information is collected as part of the credit application and they share responsibility for the loan.

If you are considering a co-signer, have their basic information ready when you apply – name, address, income, and employment details will be needed as part of the application.

Can I finance a motorcycle if I am self-employed?

Yes. Self-employed buyers can qualify for financing, though the documentation required to verify income may differ from traditionally employed buyers. Instead of pay stubs, you may be asked to provide tax returns, bank statements, or other documentation that demonstrates consistent income.
